You run the session from your iPhone or a laptop. Every musician’s laptop shows a colored button on your screen. Tap one and that laptop flashes a square in the corner — with or without sound. They click it to say GOT IT, and you see it.
Each musician opens FLASHCUE Satellite on their Mac and types their name. It lives in the menu bar.
Your iPhone (or the laptop you made the hub) finds every laptop in the room by itself and gives each one its own color. No pairing codes, no accounts.
Tap a name and their square flashes over whatever app they’re in. They click it: GOT IT. FLASH ALL hits everybody.
No server and no internet: FLASHCUE talks straight across the room’s Wi-Fi, and over Apple’s peer-to-peer Wi-Fi (the AirDrop kind) where a router keeps devices apart. Musicians can also run the iPhone app in MUSICIAN mode, so their phone flashes with their laptop — or on its own if they have no laptop.
Thanks for buying FLASHCUE Satellite. Your download is ready — it’s yours to put on every laptop in your session.

Every laptop that should flash needs FLASHCUE Satellite. One purchase gets you the download — install it on the laptops in your session. A musician who wants their phone to flash too uses the iPhone app in MUSICIAN mode.
No. Everything happens between the devices in the room. Keep Wi-Fi turned on for every device; they don’t need to be on the internet.
Make sure FLASHCUE Satellite is open on the laptop (look for it in the menu bar), Wi-Fi is on, and Local Network is allowed: on the Mac in System Settings › Privacy & Security › Local Network, on the iPhone in Settings › Privacy & Security › Local Network.
Not yet. FLASHCUE Satellite is Mac only for now.
